So this is from season 2 episode 6.of the MTV Jackass.show

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aQuXHubNpyU&t=773s&pp=ygUebXR2IGphY2thc3Mgc2Vhc29uIDIgZXBpc29kZSA2

It's around the 15:30 mark or so. It's the stint with the one legged man aka Dave England .

If someone can positively identify this track, I will have a reward for them.
Thanks as always,

Daryl in Maryland

I don't recognize this, sorry - though I notice the credits at the end of the episode mentions Megatrax Production Music Inc. ('additional music provided by'), so that might be a good place to start looking:

Mr.

Thanks for your reply. It took some legwork. but going throuMgh Paramount know own the rights to those episodes of the MTV series Jackass. The track is entitled "Happy Horns"". I went through every known production library and came out with nothing. It's hard to imagine it would be this difficult to finally identify this track. I have reached out to the composer as he has suplies music exclusively for television series and movies.
Thanks as always,

Interesting!

Following this lead, I checked for copyright registrations hoping this would help narrow it down a bit. There are several pieces of music under this name (some better candidates than others) but it unfortunately seems to be none of these.

Quote
1. PAUL E GOLDOWITZ
2. LAURENT BERNADOY
3. DEE DECKA & DAVE BETHELL
4. MARVIN U KUIJS
5. CASS MCENTEE & DANIEL EDWARD LUEDKE
6. MICHAEL C FLOWERS
7. BRUNO GUILLAUME LOUIS RIBERA
8. CARMELO GIACCHINO
9. BRYAN HOLMES
10. ANDREW EDWARD BEER
11. HARVEY VALDES
12. MAREK WIKTOR HOJDA
13. MARKUS PAUL BERGER
14. GMSGLUEMASTER
15. ERIC ROBERT GILCHRIST
16. JUERGEN PHILIPP HIEMEYER
17. BUZZ M KIEFER

A few of these composers' names I recognize. Let's see if we can track down these cues...

1. Paul Goldowitz
The first one stuck out to me; Paul Goldowitz is a semi-prolific TV composer, who according to his LinkedID composed some (presumably original?) music for Jackass' first season, and some other MTV shows:

So a boring answer could be "this was written specifically for the show and not released elsewhere".

- nooow, I personally doubt this music is show-exclusive, as I found it used elsewhere - you can hear the same cue playing in the background of this German audiobook, issued a few years after the Jackass episode:

2. Laurent Bernadoy
Library music? Yes, French.
Found on AX'S Music AXS 2325 "Electro Swing" (2014) - this is not the one.

3. Dee Decka & Dave Bethell
Library music? Yes, British.
Found on Beds & Beats BNB 075 "So Entertainment" (2016) - this isn't it either.

5. Cass McEntee & Daniel Edward Luedke
Library music? Yes, American.
Found on Vivid Pop VP-002 "Happy Playful" (c. 2024) - this ain't it.

6. Michael C. Flowers
Library music? No. Hip hop track by "Mike City", released 2021.

8. Carmelo Giacchino
Library music? Yes, Italian.
Found on Cooper Records CP. 217 "Panorama in musica vol. 5º" (c. late 60's) - also not the one.

9. Bryan Holmes
Library music? Maybe, British.
This Frank Spencer-pseudonym was used for some De Wolfe cues. Doesn't match the era and style of the track though, I think we can rule this one out as well.

10. Andrew Edward Beer
Library music? No. Hip hop track by "The Original Unknown DJ's", released 1993.

12. Marek Wiktor Hojda
Library music? Yes, Polish(!).
Found on Paris Music PM 106 "Positive Play" (2013). Can't find this one online, but I think we can rule it out based on the date.

14. GMS Gluemaster
Library music? No. Instrumental hip hop track.

15. Eric Robert Gilchrist
Library music? Yes, British.
Found on AudioSparx ('royalty free'), released 2022. Can't preview it, but I think we can rule it out based on the date.

... and the remaining tracks I can't find. No luck : /
