Sound Factory (In Store Back Ground Music )
« on: April 23, 2025, 05:01:28 AM »

A selection of albums from “Sound Factory”, a library music from Japan.

From previous releases, we've selected nine songs for the store scene.

Although the album was released in 2009, the music on it was all released in the 80's and even 90's!

Thanks for this one ChunYinZi. I must admit I was somewhat sceptical about this album. A lot of more recent Japanese library music I have heard tends to be underwhelming, mass-produced, computer-manufactured stuff. The fact that this came from Sound Factory (emphasis on the last word) didn't help to reassure me that it would be anything other than that. In actual fact it's not bad. As you say it's clearly from the 80s and possibly early 90s but very listenable.

Sound Factory is now renamed DL Music, and I know the person in charge of their website. He told me by email that I didn't expect to have this cd, and explained that Track 05 was the original music in the album, and other tracks were selected from previously released albums.
