TO THE AIR FORCE BROADCASTER:
A large number of Air Force people are producing radio programs, films, television shows and more. We recognize the need for some special music to be used in these productions. This album is Command Services Unit's first effort to answer that need.
As a producer you have experienced problems finding production music in short lengths, with appropriate high and low key points, non-descript, but sometimes making an Air Force tie in the theme. The tunes on this album are designed to have at least some of those qualities: Big Band Swing, and Jazz, Rock/Jazz, Soul Country, and even one short cut that may help you if you need some "almost-classical" music.
We have tried something new in some of this music, laid some solo and complimenting synthesizer themes onto the musical beds, which we had already recorded on multi-track tape. Most of these are in the Rock or Blues/Soul style.
Here's hoping at least some of this music, at one time or another, will help you open your show, tag your spot, bridge your segments, identify your station, intro your news, or even partially score your film. If you have any comments, please direct them to Internal Products Division, Command Services Unit, Bolling Air Force Base, D.C. 20332, (AV 22) 3-1839; (AC 202) 693-1839.

GS 75-15i - Production Music, Vol 2:
These Air Force spots and musical beds are keyed for localization. They cut across the musical spectrum - soul, country, hispanic, contemporary, easy listening - and should help you tailor spots for the stations in your area. Side one is continuous groove, side two is lock grooves. Both sides contain the same material.

RAD 74-11 - Production Music:
Dear Recruiter
We've designed this album especially for you!
Side one contains a complete set of musical beds. By using the copy in your new spot book and coupling it with a musical bed compatible with your local stations' format, you can custom-tailor your Air Force recruiting spots. We've also included two singing commercials, complete and ready to air.
Side two is a collection of frequently-requested patriotic songs as performed by elements of the Air Force Band and the Singing Sergeants. There's also a new version of our National Anthem, performed on an electronic music synthesizer.
If this package is successful, we plan to work up a follow-on set, so let us have your comments.
Sincerely
Arthur S. Ragen
Director of Advertising
PRODUCTION NOTES
These original musical beds are designed to help you personalize your recruiting efforts. By reading your copy over the music, you can add a special touch to what was once a routine, voice-only spot. We suggest that you listen to the music first. Then you can find a natural starting point for your announcement. (To preserve this record, transfer reach musical cut to audio carts.)
We would appreciate any comments or suggestions you have regarding this package of production music.
All spot beds allow for twenty seconds of voice announcement at beginning of cut. Bands 11 and 12 are complete sopts and require no additional voice-over. Band 13 is a 1000 Hertz operating reference level.
