I know I've bored you all before when I've come across the names of library greats appearing on commercial releases. This time I'm having a listen to Elton John's underrated 1976 album Blue Moves. Surprised to find that according to Wikipedia (which never lies, right?!) Harry Bluestone played as strings leader on the final track.
And as an aside film composer James Newton Howard plays a variety of keys on many of the tracks. And for TV themes fans, Out Of The Blue was used as playing out music for the original series of BBC's Top Gear. Amazing what you find when you scratch the surface.
