Unknown background music of JOBFINDER - ITV Central
« on: August 06, 2024, 05:56:21 PM »
Hello to you, i have been looking for a very long time for several totally unknown music broadcast during JobFinder between 1988 and 1992 on ITV Central. :)

Many people say in the comments of JobFinder's videos on YouTube that the music comes from labels Bruton, KPM or Cavendish. But this does not seem to be the case for Central, which apparently used in a different stock and whose music is not identifiable.

This is confirmed after a lot of research at KPM, Bruton and Cavendish, because the following music is not part of these labels.

The music is also longer than most found on library music.

I would therefore like to call on you to identify the following music, The composers and the label used.

From 20 minutes, then from 35:19 (all the music in this video seems to be from the same artist)

From 9:33 and 25:59.

I take advantage of the topic to relaunch an old search for music concerning the French channel FR3 in the 80s.

The first music was broadcast during technical maintenance in 1985.

The second was broadcast during a technical incident in 1986.

The third was also broadcast during a technical incident in 1989.

Thank you in advance for your help ! :D

Sorry for my bad English, I'm a French neighbor.

Hello,
Still regarding these untraceable music from JobFinder on ITV Central, do you know any UK Label from the 80s offering such long music (lasting 8 to 9 minutes) in the Synth-pop style ? :)

KPM, Bruton or Cavendish did not do it...

Thank you! :D

From information that i've gleaned from the Test Card Circle , it appears that many of the Jobfinder tracks were specially commissioned and they don't appear to have been released, even digitally.

It's probably worth joining the Test Card Circle as their journals have extensive information on music played on test cards, Jobfinder, Nightscreen etc. Their website can be found from a search.

Thank you for this feedback, too bad that the music was composed especially for ITV JobFinder...

I will contact Test Card Circle to try to find information about the composers of this music, it could be interesting. :)

Thanks again to you! :D
