Sears commercials (circa 1999)
« on: November 09, 2023, 06:17:02 PM »
Hello everyone!

I've become intrigued by the background music tracks used in Sears commercials circa 1999. I am completely stumped as to where these came from though.
On every track I've tried, the fingerprinter yielded an excess of false matches while both AHA and the YouTube content ID yielded no results at all.

I still hope at least one of these tracks were NOT made just for these commercials, so maybe you guys can help.
I have provided five samples, in the form of both the original commercials found on YouTube and my samples with vocals removed.

Sample 1: Sears Days (October '99)

Sample 2: Sears Portait Studio (Blues Clues)

Sample 3: 10% cash back on appliances

Sample 4: Veterans Day Sale (November '99)

Sample 5: Craftsman 101 piece tool set

Thanks in advance, and good luck!

Hello again!

Sorry to bring back up one of my old threads, but I recently tried running these tracks through the fingerprinter again (now with the strength set to "5" instead of "2", and a few new databases added) and still no results.

Although it is not set in stone, I will now have to presume these tracks were indeed composed specifically for these commericals, which is a more common reality of background music tracks in advertising than many of us library music fans might think.

Or who knows, these might somehow have come from an ultra-obscure library from this era that none of us have even discovered.

Thanks for viewing!
