
Howdy! Today's serving is an LP of American folk music... written by French people, of course. How 'bout that.
Before there was Koka, there was Koka Media, and before that, there was RCA Media. This is the very first release from this future giant, and a bit of an odd place to start, if you ask me. Was there a high demand for American folk tunes in 1980's France..?
I reckon some of you might understandably be put off by the title, but it's not all completely dry traditional hootenanny fiddlin' - it gets surprisingly funky at times, and the production sounds excellent.
To boot, my copy is one of the cleanest library LPs I own, so I (sadly) don't think this one saw much use, wherever it came from.
