Calling all collectors of Conroy, Sonoton and related labels...
« on: February 24, 2023, 06:52:31 PM »
Please can you skim through these 14 audio clips I've gathered from a German horror film of 1973, 'Mark of the Devil: Part II', then let me know if you can ID any of them?
The music is credited onscreen to Sonoton Musikverlag München. Since 1969 they had been sharing their catelogue with other overseas labels, and indeed much of this film's soundtrack was actually sourced from an earlier British Conroy release (Dramatic Underscores, BMLP 067.)
However, I have not been able to find any of the following clips in the Conroy library, (so far), so they are most likely West German in origin.
Thanks for listening.

I remember I had Mark of the Devil II on VHS back in the 90's!
I don't recognise any of these I'm afraid.

Thanks for listening.
I guess that was the Artemis VHS release you had - well worth hanging on to, as it's now very hard to find, and the film itself has never been released on DVD or Blu-Ray since then, probably for complications with rights-holders.
