KPM catalogs moving to Extreme Music's site from the new year.
« on: November 24, 2022, 09:58:17 PM »
This month, KPM Music announced that their catalogs will move to Extreme Music's website starting from January 2023 (the message however doesn't show up on MYMA version of the site accessible after selecting France in country selection - in the country KPM catalogs is distributed by MYMA, while Extreme self-distributes instead):

Oddly enough, Extreme Music hasn't announced the news anywhere on their site yet.

Does that mean KPM is leaving APM?

I'm not sure, but I guess we'll have to find out for ourselves when that happens. Hopefully it doesn't leave APM.
Peace, Love, and Library Music!

Covers for KPM Music albums (so far only for selected labels, such as KPM Main catalog One More Time sub-label and Hibou CD/digital albums) are already available on Extreme Music's servers (with modification date ranging from 10-22 December, 2022):

EDIT (December 28, 2022, 09:50 CET): As of the time of writing, Extreme Music has on its servers the covers for the following KPM owned/represented labels: Discovery Studios Tracks, Eight Zero Eight, Glu Music, Hibou Music, JGM, Jump Music, KPM Music (Main), Lucky 7, Montmorency Music, One More Time, Primary, Rattle 'n' Roll, Silverpoint, Siren Cues, Tal Bergman Music, Themes International (CD), Trilogy, Voyant.

EDIT (December 28, 2022, 18:45 CET): Other library album covers on Extreme's servers are for: Addition Music, Irradia, Mtomma, Phantom Power, Sonic Elixir and Zebra Productions:

I got my KPM main covers from Spotify, they are very good at delivering 640px covers.
Just Google your artist/track name and add "Spotify". Sometimes, Apple Music will work the same.

Today, Extreme Music has posted a blog post regarding KPM Music labels moving to their site. It looks similiar to the one on KPM's site. The downside is that the article seems to be geoblocked in North America (where ex-EMI PM catalogues are distributed by APM):

As this article is currently blocked in the US and Canada, it appears that EMI Production Music's labels will remain on APM Music.

The article was updated to clearly state the KPM catalogs aside from APM territories (i.e. US and Canada) won't be available in France, where their distribution is still handled by Montmorency Music Agency.

EDIT (January 9, 2023, 13:40 CET): Extreme has resumed uploading covers to their servers. The covers for APM's Endgame, Selected Sound main CD series, Ded Good post-2007 albums (the ones with DED prefix), Synctracks, Nightingale Vocal Series, majority of Omnimusic labels already hosted on KPM (main series, Burn, LA Edition, Singles Club, Omnimusic Special Release and Emil Ascher LPs) and Music House Specifics series and Sound-Pol's Ready Steady Edit are already there:

h++ps://d2oet5a29f64lj,cloudfront,net/img-data/w/480/album/600/OMN0261.jpg

Apparently, prefix catalogs on Extreme's site can only have exactly three letters, therefore various catalogs have new prefixes - KPM World Music's new prefix is KWM (instead of KPMWM), Music House New Series has MHN prefix (instead of just MH), while Image Music Library's Image Edge has its prefix shortened from IMED to IME. Ditto with Emil Ascher Library (from EALP to EAL):
h++ps://d2oet5a29f64lj/cloudfront,net/img-data/w/480/album/600/KWM0001.jpg
h++ps://d2oet5a29f64lj,cloudfront,net/img-data/w/480/album/600/MHN0001.jpg

h++ps://d2oet5a29f64lj,cloudfront,net/img-data/w/480/album/600/EAL0111.jpg

Meanwhile, Coloursound's vinyl catalog has a K letter appened before its original prefix: h++ps://d2oet5a29f64lj,cloudfront,net/img-data/w/480/album/600/KCS0085.jpg
