I've searched around the internet for info on Joan's Tonight Theme(I initially thought it was a popular song around that time period (early 1980) to no avail. Then I searched Doc Severinsen's catalog(of his records of jazz standards). Still it could be a jazzed up version of a popular song(Isn't she lovely? Jazzed up).
So it may be a production theme/cue etc. Or it may be an obscure jazz fusion track around that time period as well.
