Thanks for the recommendations, Sputch! Found myself in Amsterdam a few weeks ago and dropped by Platypus, which had a neat little library section and a friendly store clerk. Grabbed a Roger Roger classic and a French rarity I had never seen before :)

It was at the Hollywood store. I’m not sure about the SF stores.

yes. the hollywood store has a bunch of library at the front (opposite the checkout) and underneath the soundtrack section. they also regularly cycle through these so you'll find a bunch of random 'sound music album' or 'JW' releases.

Yeah, it's cool to still have those stores!
Or what now? Just browsing the Internet, reading the reviews, buying. And you will be very lucky if you like it, the advantages of a real store are as follows in the store you can watch and be sure of your purchase ::)
