Sometimes library music CDs aren’t forthcoming with the date of publication. Though admittedly it seems like a lot of new library music albums are released digitally and never see a physical release.
It seems that formal plastic jewel cases were used for library music from the 90s to mid-2000s. The cardboard digipaks become more common after that.
In addition, digipak cover artwork that has been scanned for digital release is not perfectly square which is an unintended side effect and a unique identifier.
Anyone else notice if this is a datable trend?
Another minor thing is that the jewel cases have the liner notes booklets which generally have more about the session artists while digipaks tend to only have titles and composers across the foldouts.
