Another one I ripped. Sorry it's a bit clicky here and there. BTW, does anyone know why the term 'Donut' is used on these albums? I can't hear anything round or holey about those tracks.

Great find, thanks for the upgrade! This is one of my favourite Tanner/Media General LPs.
The Wurlitzer sound on these is great. "Free Fall" seems more than a little inspired by "Riders on the Storm".

It's not a term in wide use, but I would assume "Donut", a circular thing (a particularly American circular thing, at that!), means rougly "with edit points, loopable" or "combination of below intro/outro elements".

Did you find this in Singapore? I wasn't aware Tanner had much international distribution.

I find records like this interesting. They really show the industrial nature of Library music, real working records. I found it in Singapore along with Showcase Production Music, Tanner Total Sound Libary and Sounds Of Broadcasting.

Yes.  A donut is a broadcast term.  It's a jingle cut that has a singing open and close, with an open music bed in the middle for the local announcer to read custom copy over.
