Would anybody know why the song Polyphony on this album sounds so similar to Invention On Alessandro Alessandroni's Farfalla lp? Is there a connection?

Nice catch - it seems Brugnolini is actually credited for both tracks, so I'm guessing he was involved with both, and simply reused the same motif. The tracks are attributed like this:

"Invention" (Alessandro Alessandroni/Sandro Brugnolini)
