You know, when I think of 80s music, I think of bubblegum, Hair Bands, Milli Vanilli, Billy Idol and
Moodonna, etc. That's about the time I started tuning out of pop music, come to think of it...
But you know, I've had to recognize again and again that not all 80s music is the same. I learned one of these nifty life lessons courtesy of Porn Library, regarding Disco music.
Before being educated by Porn Library, I thought of Disco as Donna Summer, Bee Gees, the Village People, and really bad music run into the ground (again and again). An egregious assault on the ears!
Thanks to PL, and other Wise Men, I've come to appreciate and recognize there's (real) and talented Disco, and then there's the exploitation and
meh Disco by greedy labels.
Generically, I think that 80s music is much the same. There's the good and the bad.
Anyways, there's no extra charge for my insane ramblings. It's value added, doncha know
