[Titian Records] TRL 5016 - Apprendista Hitchcock
« on: November 17, 2024, 01:37:01 AM »

Hello everyone,

Titian Records was an interesting label with some gems in its catalogue, including this one.

A weird record that combines classical instrumentation like violins, flute and percussion with keyboards and various electronic elements.
A set of intriguing tracks to describe situations of mystery, suspense and fear.

My choices are "Amazon River" with tense flute and percussion, "Stuntman", very suitable as theme for a TV or radio show, and the zombesque "Rituals".

Enjoy.

[Titian Records] TRL 5016 - Apprendista Hitchcock, music by Mirot (Gabriele Ducros)

Gee, what a rarity Rocco.
This Titian release hasn't even digitally re-issued by Pirames/Leonardi and it's a great chance you're giving us to have a proper listen.

Just can't wait to give it a spin, as soon as I'll be back at home.

Many many thanks for yet another great share.
G.

I agree with you Rocco on "Amazon River" and "Stuntman" , and I also really dig the first track "Nemesis", but also "Out Of Season" which I think is gonna be a grower for me.

I knew Gabriele Ducros for his skills in playing flute but I didn't heard that much by him as composer.
Not disappoint at all on this release (which should be around 1982 right?).

Thanks again Rocco.

Thanks Rocco, for more rare Italian goodies. I'll try to listen when I can, but I'm stuck on one of your recent uploads, the MSLP 00309 from Max Raffeng. I can't get enough of this. I think this may be my favorite Italian release now, perhaps for all time. It's incredible!

Not to take away any fire from this Apprendista Hitchcock rip, which I've never heard. I'm just saying, this is powerful stuff you're sharing, for which I'm very grateful  :)
