Clavinet comp (flac)

I have collected some clavinet-dominated library tunes onto this comp. I'm not sure that it's a clavinet up front all the time. It could be some other keyboard instruments occasionally, but they all sound clavinet-ish. There were many different models of the clavinet, I gather. And even ARP and Moog synths had clavinet-like sounds (like a hammer hitting a taught electrified metal string). There were also electric harpsichords around. Syd Dale used that a lot. It would be nice to hear some opinions about this. I wonder if anyone can point me to some good clavinet albums.

I read somewhere that the clavinet was supposed to sound like a mix of an electric piano and an electric guitar. It mostly resembles a modern harpsichord, though. Much used in the first half of the 70's. Abba, ELO, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, soul, funk & disco. It's not really a solo instrument.

Much like the Mellotron, the Clav is an instrument which ended up being used in ways which its inventors could never have dreamed of when they first put it on the market.  It's one of my favourite instruments, so a whole compilation of tracks is pretty much heaven for me!
