Here's an utter classic (and personal top ten favorite) only released once on Herbie Mann's Embryo label in 1970, featuring some legendary names in jazz like Richard Davis and Dick Hyman. But be warned - this ain't yer father's music! Long-form free improv gives way to jazz'n'roll romps, while the artists' children add an extra layer of sonic weirdness to the mix. Extraordinary music with a difference! Did I mention the production? Incredible!
