Hello, welcome to my first album review for this forum. This album comes from a label I've been listening a lot lately: L'Illustration Musicale. The name of this album is Music for Loving / Music for Laughing, released in 1975.

This vinyl record is divided into two parts on each side of the LP. The first part, which is on side A, is Music for Loving, with compositions by the founder of the French label, the legendary Eddie Warner. It features instrumental songs, some with an wordless female vocal, representing the innocence and adrenaline of a romance. It is from this section that is feautured my favorite song, the seductive and funky "Come (Ex-Titus)," which is a vocal version of the song "Titus," also composed by Eddie Warner and released on the album IMLP 3 - Medium Orchestral Beat (1969). I'm not sure, but I think the female voice on this record is Graziella Madrigal, a french singer and composer who has participated as a vocalist on several Janko Nilovic albums, such as Vocal Impressions, and who composed some cues for the Montparnasse 2000 label. However, since this album doesn't credit the musicians who participated, I can't confirm my assumption.

The B-side, called Music for Laughing, composed by Eric Swan (an alias of Roger Roger), contains comical songs with a crazy and excellent mix of electronic and orchestral instruments. A perfect example of this mix is in the song "My Cock Horse," where a brilliant interation takes place between the synthesizer and the trumpets that create the main melody.

In a nutshell, this is one of the most versatile and creative albums I've ever heard in the entire L'Illustration Musicale catalog. I hope you enjoyed this review. Thank you all for reading.
