Sheriton Mood Music Library
« on: June 06, 2025, 10:11:03 PM »

US library under Sheriton Music Co. (ASCAP), run by veteran composer Harry Bluestone and showcasing music written by him and his frequent partner Emil Cadkin. This library was pretty much a successor to the older C&B Music Library, and despite being released on disc (and being offered well into the 1980s by Blue River) is extremely hard to come by. Only two of these albums have shown up on the online auction circuit in recent years:

SH-1026 to SH-1028C/SH-1029C to SH-1033C (M-SH1048/M-SH1049)
SH-1100 to SH-1111/SH-1112 to 1121 (M-SH1016/M-SH1017)

Several tracks on this library were later re-released on LP on the "Musi-Que" series meant for home movie use, and were re-released on the CPM Archive library (retitled of course, but in this case I prefer the new titles because the original ones are just generic things like "Light Activity Opus 24")

No problem! This was a label I was really anxious to find out more about after seeing mention of it in a few trade magazines and publications listing it as a library distributed by Bluestone's company, so it really excited me to finally stumble across these rare specimen online a while back.
