Unknown library cues found on a budget SFX CD
« on: September 01, 2024, 02:09:00 AM »
Recently, I stumbled upon a budget sound effects CD from a company called Nesak, entitled "Sounds of Animals, General, & Background Music", originally released sometime in the 1990s. Most of the contents, naturally, are sound effects culled from various pre-existing SFX LPs from Audio Fidelity and a few other sources, but bringing up the rear on this disc are various instrumental music cues which are obviously cobbled from a bunch of different sources and obviously much older than the album's original release (60s/70s, with some newer cues mixed in).

Offhand, I don't recognize most of these (save for "Mideastern Music", which was used in a 70s Sesame Street cartoon), and running these through the Aha Music Identifier only yields digital reissues of these tracks via whomever acquired Nesak's masters. So, I've taken the liberty of compiling a Google Drive link with these cues in hopes the original sources and titles can be properly identified. I'm particularly interested in "Day at the Seashore", "60s Theme Music Opening and Closing" and "70s Theme Music Travels, Talk-Over, etc.", as, simply put, they're fantastic, and the 70s theme music cue has the feel of something you'd hear on The Price is Right when a new car is unveiled. As always, any info or leads you chaps might have is very much appreciated! Cheers.

Bumping. A heads-up, too, that the files are in M4a format, so you may need to download the files in order to listen to them. I'm also willing to convert them to MP3 or WAV if it makes things easier as well.
