Hello to all, there are no words enough to describe this work of art, originally released by Maestro Umiliani on Liuto Records as a double album in 1973.
The personnel involved in the recordings was definitely terrific.
The Soundwork-Shoppers:
Piero Umiliani: moog, Fender Rhodes, Mexican marimba
Marcello Boschi: flute
Mario Midana, Dino Piana, Biagio Marullo: trombone
Oscar Valdambrini, Al Corvin, Marino Di Fulvio: trumpet
Antonello Vannucchi: Hammond organ
Franco D'Andrea: piano, clavichord
Carlo Zoffoli: marimba, vibraphone
Sergio Carnini: Lowrey organ
Silvano Carnini, Sergio Coppotelli: guitar
Maurizio Majorana: bass
Giovanni Tommaso: double bass
Enzo Restuccia, Gegè Munari: drums, percussion
Ciro Cicco: percussion
It was the first library music album I listened to. I accidentally bought this CD reissue in 1997 as I was attracted by its cover, in addiction I had always loved the Piero Umiliani scores composed for several Italian movies.
But this album turned out something different.
Enjoy!
