Signed Library 78 Found on eBay
« on: July 26, 2025, 11:41:06 AM »
I found this while browsing around eBay UK. It's a copy of FDH Mood Music FDH 265, featuring the signature of Roger Barsotti himself, the composer for both tracks ("Sports Ace" and "Sports Session") on the original 78. I wanted to post this because it's not often you get to see library records signed by the composers themselves. =)

The original listing: ebay.co.uk/itm/406060443898
Peace, Love, and Library Music!

I'm not a big collector of autographs but I have got a couple of library people:

Anyone know who Cyril was?

Interesting that it's signed Bob - I've got a couple of those signed as Robert, so this might be a friend or colleague, perhaps - my first thought was Cyril Watters, who I believe was a member of the society (as was I in its final years!)

Ooh, excellent idea! That would make sense of the "in appreciation" dedication. It came from eBay a while back so we'll never know either way (although I've decided it's definitely true.) Thank you for that.
