Just regarding CAV 2, I think the 1972 date applies to the stereo reissue only, and there was a mono version issued previously.  I know of mono versions of CAV 1 and 3 with different sleeves which aren't as common as the red sleeve stereo versions.  The tracks on CAV 2 were recorded in Cologne in 1968.

I've often wondered if the Ray Davies Orchestra's Benny And The Duke LP on Pye was meant to be a Cavendish Series LP that fell through.  All the tracks are published by Lafleur or Cavendish, and Pye had already put out their own version of CAV 9, plus I remember Ray Davies saying in an interview the LP had never come out and he was looking for a copy.  Perhaps he was referring to a planned Cavendish version?
