Franco Tamponi - Le Regioni (1970) (SR Records SP 127) (flac)
« on: December 29, 2018, 10:07:47 PM »
Here's an album from the wonderful and underrated library composer Franco Tamponi. One of my very favorite library records, Le Regioni, Vol. 1 is a totally charming Italian record based on the varied regions of the country. Side A has some excellent, dream-like "tension" pieces like "Lupara", "Mafia" and "Venezia che muore", while side B is purely folk music. A million thanks to the LP owner for the hi-res rip!

If you enjoy this, check out the Canopo Vintage thread, which features Tamponi and his Synthesizer Baroque Concerto, with albums kindly shared by BlackwatchPaid and oliverino: https://librarymusicthemes.com/index.php?topic=565

Tamponi's music for the marvelous Ittiologia, Biologia Marina, and La Natura e l'Uomo albums has also been reissued by the great Italian label Intervallo. You can buy the digital albums via their Bandcamp page: https://intervallo.bandcamp.com/

Wonderful, thanks a lot, Tezeta! A new SR is always a great gift. I enjoy this album very much, especially the first side.

Sermi is another label (one of many, many) where I've got lots of lossy or corrupted files, but not much quality. I'm thrilled to have another LOSSLESS Sermi to listen to after today  :)

Thank you, Tezeta.

Some really great tracks on this one, with the map of italy i thought it was gonna be tradicional italian music, put songs like mafia and venezia che muore are really dark and sinister. Really great lp, thanks for sharing tezeta  :)

Thanks very much, tezeta. I also like how you uploaded the single files unzipped, and still zippable - I did not know Mega is that flexible.
