ps - To Inky, Dark Globe, et al: I've used
The Unarchiver and
XLD on my Macs for years. On the rare occasions when I've encountered any problem, an app, file, etc needs updating (I'm not fond of auto-updates).
I hope you're all able to solve your downloading / decompressing issues
