As a Howarew and Green Wall fan, I've been curious about this for long. I managed to finally pick a copy this week, and ripped it right away! It's some nature style pieces, a few gorgeous songs included!
Classic Howarew style naming too, like "Meteo Doubt". Enjoy!

Roope, I was curious about a_pylon question on NRE thread about you rips quality.
I also am not that skilled about sound quality. Anyway, I tried to see them through a spectrum analyzer, and I noticed that all of your rips have a cut-off of the frequencies a little above the 20 KHz.
Which is probably not bad but a little strange, because in my knowledge, lossless should go up over 21 or 22 KHz.
I'm raising this matter because I think you're probably the first one wanting to know if something wrong happens during your rip process or if you have some wrong setting.
No intentions at all to bother or be annoying from my part. Apologies if I do.
BWP could chime in and tell his pro point of view for example?

Thanks Greta for checking. I still have many things to learn about ripping. I'd definitely be happy to find out what I could do to make my rips truly lossless.
Could it be the USB sound card I've used (old crap A-Link SU51)? I'm not sure if I actually need to use this anymore as my current imac has a mic input.
Or then there's something adjustable in the Audacity preferences. For export I'm usually using maximum levels.

Is this spectrum the same in my earlier rips? Like the Publispeis? They have been done with my earlier computer and some earlier audacity version.

Could these Audacity preferences make a difference? Mine are in the same default position as illustrated here:
file:///Applications/Audacity.app/Contents/help/manual/man/quality_preferences.html

There's some enhancing possible in Sample rate converter and Dither.

Interesting. I went back and watch the Publispeis through Adobe Audition, and they all have a spectrum with frequencies going up to 22KHz and over.
But sorry, I can't help with Audacity settings or sound cards.

Ok, then it must be from the newest version of Audacity. I'll make some tests at some point!

Thank you Roope for sharing a late eighties gem! This is my second Green Wall, a very interesting label indeed.  :)
