Here's one that for some strange reason I had the urge to hear tonight after several years, so went digging deep in my closet full of vinyl, found the record and ripped it.
I may be one of the only folks in the US who even knows Al Styne's "Do The Jog". It was a tune that was introduced to me about 16 or 17 years ago when I was sort of briefly "involved" you could say with this gal I knew that came from Australia, and I got hooked on this tune when she introduced it to me from her vinyl collection.
This was known over there and issued on RCA. Here in the US, it's an unknown phantom that somehow made its way to an odd ball LA based Indie label that has no other releases as far as I know. This is the 12'' single issue they put out. Has an extended edit that repeats the 2nd verse twice. And funny enough, this copy I had picked up years ago is actually hand autographed on the generic white 12'' sleeve by Al Styne himself...adds to the oddness of it (don't have my scanner hooked up so couldn't do a scan of it right now).
I kind of dig the B side "One More Touch" even more...too bad there was never an LP to go with these 2 tunes. But, cause of the oddness of this one, thought some of you folks over here may be interested. First rip i've done in quite some time too.
