Dear Mr Brickwall, upon a quick reading of your post I assumed that

(1) you are in possession of this record,
(2) you recorded it yourself on your record player, probably to PCM format,
(3) you edited the recording into a state which you consider a sonic improvement by automatically de-clicking and de-noising it and reducing its dynamic range, using an audio program,
(3) you then encoded the PCM to FLAC.

I suppose that these assumptions are precisely those which you intended to create in readers.

It is, however, unlikely that the first two of them correspond to reality.

Consider the spectral analysis of track 8 (FLAC, as you uploaded it):



(I have photoshopped Spek screenshots a bit to make loudnesses more apparent, particularly of the high-frequency noise.)

On a first glance, this audio file seems to have been created by transcoding a low-quality MP3 file (the hard cut-off at 16 kHz, for example, is typical of MP3 files with bitrates of 192 kbit/s or less) to FLAC. But if one takes a closer look this cannot be the whole story, because there is high-frequency noise between 19 and 22 kHz present that an MP3 encoder would discard.

Consider the spectral that results by transcoding the FLAC file of track 8 to 320 kbit/s MP3:



The high-frequency noise is largely gone.

Even the gold standard of lossy audio encoding -- Ogg Vorbis with 500 kbit/s -- does not fully capture that noise:



This means that the audio file of track 8 you posted cannot be the result of a direct transcoding of a lossy source file. I now think that you worked not with files created by you, but that you received them from elsewhere.

And whilst "improving" these sound files (and thereby almost certainly disimproving them, if you actually did it at all), did you not notice the issues with track 8? And furthermore, that tracks 10 and 12 have the same problem?

If you wish to give an explanation, I'll be rather interested.

I've decided to respond to you on this thread only, cause is one of the few containing a genuine flac rip. For which I thank you cause I didn't have it and it's great to listen to it.

As for all the other shares of yours, I just don't understand.
I mean, you say "personal remaster ", "high quality" or else, but in the facts they're almost all upscaled mp3.
The only genuine flacs I've seen are this same CDRE 1315, the two Cielo Archival and the Music Scene MSE 147.
Did you know that?

Sharing and spreading lossy files disguised as lossless is just not good at all. Not everyone is able to recognize fake lossless, or some just trust the source and keep and re-share them as lossless.
The result is the net is flooded by fakes, and as LMT is quite a popular site around, we contribute in a significant way to this. Not good at all.

Not saying you can not post these rips but that you should declare the actual quality of your shares, and convert the fake flacs to mp3 before sharing.

That said, I also thank you for the NRE 1141 and the Jump DP 79, cause I never heard them, and even if they're upscaled mp3, they're always something new to me.

Not sure actually, about NRE 1141 and AIR-PM 104, the two you stated you had by your chap Digitrack as new needledrops.
I think I remember Digitrack and the quality rips he shared here in the past. Is it possible that something went wrong in your remaster process of his needledrops?
And about it, if I may, can I ask you if it's possible to have the original Digitrack's needledrops of these two albums (NRE 1141 and AIR-PM 104)?
