Requests / Re: Musique Cinema Television Requests
« Last post by C201number2_1 on April 22, 2026, 02:53:13 AM »
Small bump on this, the CDs I am looking for remain the same - 509, 512, 513, 516, 522, or 523. If any of those are available, I would be very pleased to see if there are tracks on there. Both this and the LGFG1 thread have been rather empty - I think 501-503 were more or less "too early" for the overall tape composition period, if that makes any sense.

General Discussion / BBC Coded Music Library LP for Sale on eBay
« Last post by WSBG Returns Yet Again! on April 22, 2026, 02:15:13 AM »
Currently, there is a bid auction for a BBC Coded Music LP (Specifically CM198, featuring the Gert Wilden Group and the Dresden Dance Symphony, cond. by Günter Hörig) on eBay right now. The BBC Coded Music Library was a library made for internal usage for the BBC, and had LPs (Usually other library LPs with BBC stickers on them, and some occasions original LPs with other unique recordings as well) were used for the BBC test cards. There isn't a label page for this label, but apmnut did talk about this label in a request post here:

Owned by 27th Dimension Inc./Roland St. John Hanneman (ASCAP).

This is rare library from Florida (the mailing address being from Jupiter and Okeechobee)

The library's composers are usually Roland St. John Hanneman, Gregg Drzewicki, and Steve Quinzi.

The Gold Series heavily uses a Yamaha DX7 and an Oberheim DX drum machine, and also floppy disk samples for E-MU Emulator II. Some tracks use holophonics, a binaural recording processed developed by Hugo Zuccarelli which is also used in the Dimension Sound Effects Library released in 1987.

Also, some of the tracks can be found on Sound Ideas' Mix Broadcast Library but under different titles.

Thanks to musictheorist for this info on the label. Check that post out here for more information and tracklistings as well as some samples.

Thank you to my friend Khori who provided these albums.

It seems from musictheorist's post that not much is really known about this label. Other than some basic info and some youtube videos seemingly. These albums came from Retromatic's musrc site when access was still possible. These albums are all very short and if I'm being honest not very exciting. But why not.

For CHAPAV 012 CD - "Atmos - Danger/War" and "CHAPAV 022 CD - Dramatic/Orchestral Vol. 1", i do have those, but i have both vinyl and CD rips. And oh boy! The vinyl version is FLAC, whereas the CD version is mp3. Is it okay with you? Please let me know. Thanks! ;) :D :)

MP3 are the better ones compared to vinyl, thank you very much!
Okay, but anyway, i'll send you 2 CHAPAV albums in both vinyl and CD rips just in case. So hold on tight! ;) :D :)
