Hello again. I've been wondering for a while about what's going on with musrc.com and why it hasn't been updated since January. I've been feeling a bit concerned about this. Is it simply because Retromatic is busy making more batches of CD rips? I don't know. Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
Benjamin

That's right! What's going on with musrc.com? I've been waiting for TM Century's Generation Three library albums, libraries from TM Century, and other rips i've wanted since January, yet hasn't been updated. I've used Distill extension to see if any updates has happened and it worked on January 19th. But, 3 months passed, no updates has happened yet. I'm a bit concerned. Maybe Retromatic is kinda of busy making more batches of CD rips or something. But that's all i know. :-\
Oh, i'm also wondering, the question remains the same, where has Retromatic been? And what's going on with musrc.com and why hasn't it been updated? Please let me know! Thanks! :-\
-
As far as I know, no one has bought cd or electronic data from RetroMatic recently, so he didn't update it. In fact, all the previous updates were without exception. Someone bought a cd or sponsored him to ask for an album. I plan to buy some CDs from him at the end of March.
-
Aw. I wish my parents or my friends can help me with my Paypal balance. But i can't, i'm too hesitant to do so. :'(
But, i hope i could get some balance someday. But i'll try to be patient for a while. :-\
(Sorry for the words, if this is offensive to you. :( :-[)

In rare cases, he will actively share some albums according to his own preferences.
But many times he only shares the albums that others need, I mean when others directly sponsor him or buy his CD.
Recently, no one sponsored him or bought his CDs, so he didn't make it public, but I will buy about 20 CDs in a few days.
I think since you have never sponsored him, you have no right to let him share anything, and he won't do it. In fact, he has left ltm and he is tired of this forum.
Even me, I seldom share something actively in ltm now, and occasionally help some people find music names.
But I have been buying CDs, whether from ebay or Yahoo, and I will share them with some of my friends through Facebook.
They have helped me more or less.

I don't want to say this or being rude, but, i agree with your opinion at this point, i think.

Yes, but not all the times everyone has to always sponsor him or buy CDs from him, but only when we need it.

Yes, i understand, but all people don't always have the right to let him sharing any CDs, not just me. But yes, i think i (or we) didn't have the right to. But he only do it if he wanted to, or if we have sponsored him or bought his CDs.

Everyone, i have good news and bad news.
The good news is, i was brave enough to tell my parents and my sister about something i need without my hesitation. When i have told them, at first they didn't agree with me because they had no idea what is this thing about, but as i told them clearly, they finally agreed and started to work together. And soon i was able to sponsor him. I used my sister's account as my alternate PayPal account.
But the bad news is, even with "Donate with PayPal" method and not with the "Donate with Debit or Credit Card" method, it's not available in my country. I have no idea. Anyone know why? And how?
Please let me know what happened. Thanks!
-
Yohanes. I just went to musrc.com as though in Indonesia (VPN), clicked on "Donate" and it took me to a screen giving the option to "Donasi dengan PayPal" or "Berdonasi dengan Kartu Debit atau Kartu
Kredit" which is the same as I get from the UK (though obviously in English!). So it should work. I suggest you speak to your friends in Indonesia to find out what it is you might be doing wrong. I'm not sure this is something that can be solved on LMT without going in to much more detail than would be wise on a public forum.

It is. I live in my country and donated it without VPN, but somehow it didn't work. How? :-\
-
I know you live in Indonesia that's why I tried accessing the donation page via VPN from there. But that's all it does - enables you to make a donation. I presume if you want to follow it up with a request to share a specific CD in return you must contact Retromatic at the e-mail address shown just below the Donate button ie musrc.com@gmail.com. Otherwise how does he know which album you're after?
-
The problem was, my sister said it does not accept the money conversion (e.g. IDR to USD). That's the only problem i know of.

By that answer, yes, i did click on "Request" on some albums i need, entered my email and my name, email request sent. But how?
-
Sorry, that's about as far as I can go. I suppose you wait for an e-mail back from Retromatic. But more than that I don't know. I haven't had any dealings with him on musrc because his collection is outside of my area of interest. Maybe someone else can advise you through this last bit?
EDIT: I think I've got to the bottom of it. From what you say the Indonesian Ringgit (IDR) is not a hard currency so is not supported by PayPal. If you wanted to use PayPal from Indonesia you would need to register a US Dollar or equivalent hard currency bank account.

It's Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), not Ringgit. Ringgit is from Malaysia, so the correction is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) and Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).
-
Then that's my mistake replace the word Ringgit with Rupiah. But you're missing the point. The Indonesian Rupiah is not supported by PayPal because it is not a hard (convertible) currency.

Just now, my friend in China and I picked up some Retro Matic CDs.

Actually, me and a couple of my friends recently bought some CDs off of Ebay or Yahoo.

Some of them have arrived, some of them haven't.
But I haven't even had time to organize them.
However, of all the CDs I've purchased, the Japanese library music CDs are the most numerous

I can't order CDs from Retromatic because I'm a very broke teenager who hasn't earned money since October. Not a single penny. And anyhow, I wouldn't be able to, because PayPal only allows people over 18 to use it. I'm 16.

I remember when you were a teenager.
So you may not have a job.
But a couple months ago you were sharing some of your CDs on LTM.
So that's comforting to me.
Also, any news on the Japanese U-Phonic holders?

The full tracks from the U-PHONIC CDs are available online, albeit in low quality and with a watermark. hxxps://rma-j.site/
And those CDs I'm sharing were part of my birthday present in August.

It's a great innovation, except for the bad sound quality

I have Retro Matic's Facebook account. I usually communicate with him directly through Facebook. Has he never replied to you?

Oh! I didn't know that! But i've never used Facebook that often as i only used Discord very often. But, "Has he never replied to you?", Hmm, I don't know. But i emailed him a request, but no response. But that's the only thing i know of.

By the way, I put in a request for a Chameleon CD to Retro Matic a while back, but he declined on the grounds that the set was rare and he didn't want to sell it at the moment.

Ah. Fair enough. He could rip it instead of selling it to you!

More if you buy the CDs.

I don't know, but i sure do! I'm also looking forward to Music Bakery and Chameleon Music CDs. But right now, i'm looking forward to my request for TM Century and Media General CDs (particularly Generation Three, Trendsetter II, Lazer, Laser Lightning, Compact Disc Production Library, Digital Director, MegaMusic, etc.), and Production Garden's Series 200.
But again, thanks for letting me know! ;)
