Hi everyone!
The story behind these two records began on a day when I was browsing library music on YouTube.
A "preview listen" video was uploaded by someone of one track from "MKS 002", I clicked on it and was immediately surprised by
how cool it sounded. Then the search for copies began. Rare and obscure Italian library LP's lies close to my heart (especially from the 80's!)
Many years passed by, and I couldn't find a copy of either of the volumes. Then, suddenly, in late 2024 I could acquire both records within a couple of weeks!
The genre is "Italo-Disco", which really captures what it sounds like, but there is also a lot of rhythmic synth-pop elements on both volumes in both punchy and soft fashions.
Regarding MKS 001 I especially like the B-side with tracks such as "Life Is A Celebration", "Surrender Now To Me" by Tumbarello, and Valente's "Last Serenade"
& "Tahiti's Rapsody"!
MKS 002 was entirely produced by Fabio Valente. A great record with a nice mixture of smooth melodic passages and rapid rhythmic tracks. On the A-side you'll find tracks such as "Clouds In a Silent Night", "A Rainy Afternoon", "Tears" which are more atmospheric. The B-side offers most of the punchy, rhythmic synth-pop style with tracks such as "DX7 Serenade", "Japanese Project" & "Dance With Cassero"
I hope you will enjoy them!
Happy listening. :)
Music by: G.B. (Giovan Battista) Tumbarello, G.F. (Gianfranco) Bortolotti, F. (Fabio) Valente.

This label I didn't know about it and the songs from these albuns are excelent! Listening to these records, I recognized the song "There’s No Time", by the fact that it was used in an ID of the extinct Brazilian TV station Rede Manchete, between 1989 and 1992.

Thanks a million for these gems, Bongo. Great share.
Especially MKS 001 is beautiful for me.
The disco tracks are brilliant although my favourite is "Summer Love". I also really appreciate the liquid sounds of "Why me".
MKS 002 is very nice too, I like all of side 2.
