Thank you roope. Max Raffeng is new to me but this is a nice gentle instrumental album worthy of inclusion in any test card.

And now, I'll share some little known trivia with you all.  The woman on the front cover?  I dated her. I even saw her naked!

Yes, it was many years ago when we met on Frayker's Island ⓒ Ⓡ. I was flexing on the beach, trying to frighten away Frayker's pet sharks. She was playing beach volleyball, trying to pretend she didn't notice me, when she caught my eye...

One day, we rented a dune buggy. I WAS driving, naturally, but she was distracting me with her bathing suit and heaving bosoms. Eventually, I don't know how, I got distracted and took a wrong turn and down a 10• embankment near Frayker's Volcano. And then you know what she did? She whipped out a road map and got us back onto the main trail. I was humiliated!  A woman who can read a road map?  Who does that!?!

Well, long story short, I just got tired of whatshername. You know how it is, right? Really, that's the truth. I mean, look at her; always staring at me with that look that says,
"I know what you're thinking, Little Man, and you ought to be ashamed of yourself. You pervert!"

Of course, she never said those words to me (out loud). But I know that's what she was thinking (mostly because she was right) and because I have ESP.  And I also recall her slapping me silly on more than several occasions.

So I cut her loose, because she hurt my feelings. And besides, strong, intelligent wimmens tend to bruise my fragile egos. Then, I went back to flexing on the beach for the impressionable youngsters. I never managed to scare those damned sharks.

I heard she married a king somewhere. He's filthy rich and looks like a young Rock Hudson. Do I care?  Ha!

Am I bitter? Jealous??  Ha! That was 20+ years ago. I still dream of her every night, but that's only because I hope she realizes what a huge mistake that she made). That's how over her I am. So there!

As i recall, she was travelling incognito at the time, to escape the paparazzi. And besides, there's been soooo many wimmens, who remembers names?

But I supposed I'll have to dig up her name eventually, maybe from an old matchbook or something, for when I finally those long-requested memoirs.

For now, I'll just call her Lola. I don't really remember too much about her, its just that her photo on Raffeng's LP cover brought all those memories back, in a hurry.

Mostly what I remember is Lola slapping the Bejesus out of me, early and often. If you look closely @ my finely chiseled features, you can still make out what appears to be a woman's hand print. That would be Lola's.  Good thing she wasn't wearing any rings back then!
