Title: ALTENATE UNIVERSE: Detroit music company with 2 divisions
Post by: GraniteCity on October 19, 2024, 01:47:49 AM
I know this is a little unexpected but cool for all of you, so here I go.

I collected unknown and lesser-known jingles and production music to create 2 mock demo reels for an alternate universe music company with 2 divisions from the 80s.

In an alternate universe context, Katherine Holt (aka Pidge Gunderson) was born in the mid-40s in Chicago, IL. She studied keyboard and voice. In the late 60s, Pidge moved to Detroit, MI, and got a job at a struggling jingle company headed by music mogul Bucky Buchanan. She turned the company around so successfully that in the mid-70s, Bucky had to retire. Later, Pidge renamed the company and made more packages for local clients such as WBZ-TV 4 Boston and national clients such as Burst Cable.

Here's a demo for their jingle division.

Here's a demo for their library division.

Any thoughts on this?

So, that's exactly what my alterego Jim Scott posted? If so, what do you think?

This is Pidge Gunderson's predecessor Bucky Buchanan's body of work. In 1976, Pidge renamed Bucky's company after his retirement. Can you recognize a few tunes wise?
