Title: H.Tical - VSM 38548 'vs' MPI/LP 537

Here are two transcriptions of the same music, taken form the original vinyls.
I'll leave it up to you to analyze the technical comparison between the two.

Instead, I'd point out the weird facts about these two releases.
You'll notice that the Musique Pour L' Image reissue dated 1972, despite having the same tracklist on the two sides compared to the original Vedette release dated 1971, it has the songs inverted.
In addition, the image on the front cover of MPI/LP 537 is upside down compared to the one on VSM 38548!
Did they make all this on purpose over there in Paris? I suspect yes, but who knows...

A fascinating discovery Greta. Thank you. It always makes me wonder whether the publishers of library music actually take/took the business as seriously as we do. We've come across a variety of fundamental errors in the past such as songs wrongly accredited to composers and the renaming of tracks for inexplicable reasons. Additional printing errors such as these covers (or are they) add to the mystery. Or is it that in this modern age we are less forgiving of mistakes such as these?

     Thank you for posting these, Greta! And thank you for the explanation of the two covers. I didn't notice they were the same image! I think I prefer the colorful Vedette one better. And big thanks to Hrvatski for the rips.
