Title: edited Internet Archive's rips - updated to bunch n.31

I've been contacted by an old fellow member of the forum few days ago, his name is Trkizbrki.
For some reason I don't want to investigate he's not signing in on LMT but he wants to contribute his way to this forum.
Very kind, thank you pal. I will gladly act as an intermediary.

Essentially, it's about many many records he's sending to me, which I will post here a bunch at a time.
They're all old 78 records rips taken from Internet Archive (and many thanks go to the fellas doing the original rips over there), but they're slightly edited by Trkizbrki himself.
Clicks have been removed and bass frequencies have been added cause they're missing from the original flat rips. No compressions or filters.
Tracks have been separated too.

Just to make you better understand the type of work that was done, I post here an example. A comparison between an untouched and an edited version of the same track:

As time goes by I will update this same topic, so that all the rips remain easily traceable in the same place.

Another thing: Trkizbrki edited the sound but he left the original bit rate and sample rate of the original flacs. I'm gonna share them the way I receive them, the way everybody can decide what to do with the rips.

By complete coincidence I have also been editing a large number of 78s of library music available on the Internet Archive. It is a work in progress but so far I have completed recordings from the Synchro (112 records), Harmonic (59), Southern (93), Impress (176), JW Media (244) and Bosworth (66) libraries. The recordings on the Internet Archive are very raw. So similar to Trkizbrki I have removed the clicks (I use Click Repair) and have adjusted the volume and high and low frequencies as necessary. Again like Trkizbrki I have made a point of avoiding compression or filters which are likely to introduce artifacts to the audio. I have, however, reduced them down to 44.1kHz 16 bit which I personally feel is more than adequate for mono recordings from 78rpm originals. Where there is more than one piece of music on the side of a record I have separated them into individual tracks.

I have yet to upload them to a server but if there is the demand I would be willing to do so.

No doubt due to the move from Shellac to vinyl while maintaining the 78rpm mono format giving better quality reproduction.

My special thanks for the Sam Fox cues. They sound great, at least the ones I've listened to. I acquired dubs of Synchro Fox 78s about 15 years ago and was delighted to even come across them, but these sound wonderful.

Because I'm late to this par-tee, the links are expired or timed out for all but 2 uploads. I only got bunches #15-16, but partial is always better than zero. I'm grateful all the same :)

I don't suppose that Trkizbrki left you any original links? I'm asking in an effort to avoid lots of backtracking in my own background research on these files. I prefer to work smartly as much as possible, rather than recovering old ground. A few notes / links can save untold hours of hair pulling toil online ;)

Also, I don't know if this is the proper place, or if I'm preaching to the proverbial LMT Choir, but I'm a big believer in projects such as the Internet Archive, Wikipedia, etc. Everyone benefits from these projects, either directly or indirectly, such as with this thread.

I realize that the global recession isn't over by any means, and i personally hate other people always trying to spend my own $$ for their pet projects. However, if any of you can possibly manage financially, you may want to consider a small monthly donation to Wikipedia, the Internet Archive, and other similarly worthy knowledge databases. Just a thought.

I've tried downloading it without using IDM, and only via Chrome, but, it's the same thing, but it's the opposite. It said "Network error.".

It means that the problem is unique to you and unlikely to be a problem with Swiss Transfer since I downloaded the file fine. Maybe something to do with your internet configuration or your ISP?

If it said "The file may not have been downloaded completely because the file size is unknown.", was this actually normal for this file to be like this, or just the same as it was downloaded fully?

Oh. About IDM, IDM doesn't show me the file size of this, which was kinda strange and odd for some reason to see what's going on.

Exactly. If I may add, that also happens every time when you're downloading an archive of selected files (by your choice) from Google Drive.
Swisstransfer does this trick as well, they register a one-time link address for the file you want to download, and it is valid until the file has completed downloading. But it is only clickable once, otherwise you'll have to perhaps refresh the page, perhaps.
So in general, the browser (or rather a 3rd party web downloader i.e IDM) doesn't know the size of that file until it has completed downloading all of the bytes that were provided in that link address. In some cases, even resuming that same file is not possible unless you're using a new link for a new download session of that same file.
