Title: Atmosphere and C Music tracks in Japanese PC games (from 92-96)
Post by: marklincadet on May 26, 2024, 08:09:21 AM
Hey all, a friend and I discovered some time back that the game publisher IDES (https://vndb.org/p5356) used library music in many of their CD releases. We were able to identify most of it from Atmosphere and C Music via online song finding tools, but need some help in finding the rest. We also came across some Italian soundtracks which I understand CAM have released in the past, but we would like to figure out which releases specifically they might have come from.

Here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Him2XaEvRGn8-M7I-NYKfKi2NGEH8UGz8Z_6FzuDfIk) is a spreadsheet containing the tracks we are looking for (under Unknown), and if you're interested in the full list of library tracks you can look around in the rest of it. Thanks in advance!

May I ask what country you're from?

I'm from China.

Japan is really famous for its library music, and I personally like it, I've studied it too

Japan is also the only country in Asia that has great library music

My country has very little library music.

In addition to the C MUSIC you mentioned

In addition to C MUSIC, which you mentioned, there are also NASH MUSIC, EX Industry, Sound Bank, Sound Factory, and Sound Dictionary.

I can answer one of your sources first

Kounai Shasei vol.1 - Yonimo H na Monogatari

Dead of the Brain ~Shiryou no Sakebi~

One of the tracks is Track 06 Living For You; Part I from ATMOS 19 - Incidentals.

It's not available on the web because the album was discontinued by the company.

And by the way, your form is a mess.

I can't tell what kind of music you're looking for.

Personally, I'm only interested in the unknown tracks you suggested.

Sorry about the messy spreadsheet, I've just replaced it with a simple one with direct links to all of the unknown tracks.

May I ask what country you're from?

I'm from China.

I'm from Singapore, which as far as I know does not have any library music. There are a lot of musicians in my country, but it is difficult for them to find an international audience.

Thanks for the track you've identified so far, and the recommendations for other music libraries to listen to!

Continue to add

Kanako Track 08

Music from C Music AL-584 AMBIENT MELLOW

Unfortunately, it's another discontinued album, and there's no official way to listen to it.

Luckily for us, someone on the Japanese video platform Nicovideo has cached this album.

So we can listen to it and see if the results are correct.

It's from 03:06 M-02 マロニエ通り

Thanks for the finds, keep them coming!

Do we know which albums from the AL 500 series C Music have not uploaded to Tunecore yet, not including those pulled from distribution? AL-556 CF CREATOR'S ITEM vol. 7 is one that comes to mind, there were a few songs in ANGEL and Can Can Bunny Extra from that album.

With the exception of seven unknown tracks in Dracula Hakushaku that I haven't researched.

I've told you everything I know about the source.

Tomorrow I'll work on Dracula Hakushaku.

Good luck. The rest of the music is basically hard to source.

Some of them are supposed to be original for the game.

Thanks for the help, I guess for some of the other tracks I need to start searching through Italian film and television scores.

Has ATMOS 19 and 22 been posted on the forums before? Can't seem to find a place to listen to them...

 friend

I hope you make it.

I've told you everything I know about the source.

As far as ATMOS 19 and 22 Craig-UK has them.

I've left a message for him, hopefully he'll share it with you.

Lastly, I appreciate your selflessness and willingness to seek out library music for all kinds of games

For now here are 320 mp3s. I have found my ATMOS-CD 22 CD but I cannot find my ATMOS-CD 19 CD, I must have had it as I ripped it into mp3 but no idea where.

I've done a little digging through the CAM (CML) library and found three of the unknown tracks... is there any way to invite the CAM enthusiasts in this forum over to this thread to help out? :D

(Note: I've just changed the link to the spreadsheet, do check the main post again for the updated link.)

First of all, congratulations on finding three pieces of unknown music.

This is the first time I've heard of Cam Music Library.

I haven't found a way to sample them either.

My suggestion is that you reopen a discussion board.

dedicated to CAM MUSIC LIBRARY.
