Title: Network Production Music (Lossless)
Post by: BlackwatchPlaid on March 21, 2018, 11:55:43 PM
(https://i.imgur.com/zWdzW1u.png)

There doesn't seem to be any information about Network Production Music online sadly.  They had a real cool logo though.  Too bad they changed it later on to be more "modern".  I know it as the label that has the very recognizable theme song from "The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross" (NM 020, #11).

The first 50 came to us from an older LMT v6 member, LeslieVanHouten/Pieceful/Bill.  Thanks go to him for the initial uploads.  I have properly tagged his files filling in full names when available, finding albumart, and naming folders their proper names.  These files all came from UPM's production distribution site.

I have grabbed the rest and put 51-130 here today.  I decided to stop the series at the point when they dropped the designator from the album title.  The  (Specialty),  (Medium Tempo),  (Industrial), those designators.  Eventually I'll get them all tagged and uploaded, up to #275.

The links have died. Sorry about that.

This is great. Thanks, BWP! I have many of these from past rips, mostly from Killa, maybe PL as well, but nowhere near complete.

You and others might appreciate this 10-page Network brochure from 1983 (PDF). Not sure who posted this originally.

Disco Inferno (Medium Tempo) (1979)(FLAC)...

...what an album!

Sounds just as great as the Bastow Brothers disco work on JW themes
and Bruton!

Thank you, BlackWatch!  :D

Wow!

First, thank you Blackwatch for another "Killer" mega-upload. The depth and diversity is breathtaking!

Also, thanks to Stack for the Network brochure circa 1983. Pure gold!

And it's nice to Frank Chiggens again. Talking about a voice from the past! You have been missed, sir :)

ps - this link is dead. After this embarrassment of riches, I feel sheepish in asking for a reup.
Blackwatch, just in case you're feeling extra generous with your time, can we (I) please have a reup?

This library has a lot of story, i've found this info about network music:

Network Production Music is created by Tom Dinoto, owner of the US commercial jingle company "Tuesday Productions" in San Diego, California. Craig Everett Palmer is the principal composer of many of the successful early cuts, which feature string and French horns on top of a modern drum beat, with Timpani and brass accents.

One Craig Palmer composition -- entitled "Energy" -- practically defined the genre of 1980s production music. Early "Network" cues and themes often were used on TV network sports shows and syndicated US TV shows such as "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", and behind national commercials. Network becomes a successful US-owned production music library for this style of music.

Source: classicthemes(dot)com

In addition of this, craig palmer has made a lot of pieces for network music.

in the 90's network offers other catalogs, classical music cds, and production elements, and a special library only with the broadcast versions of the main cuts (:60, :30, :20, :15 Seconds) called shor trax, but currently all this, are no longer available, only the main library

The company also once had a joint-venture with Dutch Top Format called Network Music Europe: http://web.archive.org/web/19971013192816/http://www.topformat.nl/topzo41.htm The European branch seemed to have operated as early as November 1996: http://web.archive.org/web/19961112064727/http://www.networkmusic.com/agents.htm

Later, in June 2001, Network Music was acquired by BMG (then-owners of Killer Tracks): https://idobi.com/news/bmg-acquires-network-music/

Do you really think this behaviour is any good to try getting new links from people (which is usually made upon kind requests)?

There's a fantastic option for you if you don't like this forum and the way it's conducted. You just leave!
Which is much better for everyone, cause nobody here likes to read your rude rants. First and foremost certainly me.

You probably won't leave, consequently, either you stop and apologize, or some kind of action will be taken.

You could have asked me nicely to reupload the network music albums. It would have taken me the bulk of the first half of my morning to do it and it would have been a good feeling knowing you were gonna be expecting it. But instead I find this ugliness on my screen.

If it bothers you so much I will edit the zippy links and tell you good luck in your search in the future because I know for damn sure I am not gonna do anything of the sort to help you obtain these albums today. I hope you re-evaluate the way you speak to others as a result of this learning experience.

I agree as long time member and someone who understands the time and effort and time by many members , include NG myself. that attitude doesn't fly around here. If anyone thinks most just click a couple times and BAM, there up well you are sorely mistaken. BlackWitchPlaid has been a TREMENDOUS asset to this community. He is of course one of many.

I particularly like the orchestra used by Network Music. It's one of the best American orchestras, and I don't usually like American orchestras!

Me too! I like it either. I like British orchestras, Japanese orchestras, and orchestra from around the world, but I like the American orchestras the most, especially used by Network Music, along with other production libraries in America. :)
