I promised Greta new rips of some of these LPs two versions of the board ago. I finally finished them at the end of last year, but, with all the confusion surrounding v.6, I forgot I hadn't posted them yet! BRF 1 through 4 are new, the flacs are new for 6 & 7, and the complete BRF 5 is part of BRF10CD.

My BRF 1,2 3 files had very low bitrates. These upgrades are really very appreciated...Thank you A8!

Sendspace takes about 30 mins to download for me as opposed to less than a minute with Zippyshare. Is this the norm?

Yes, unfortunately. Same here. That's Sendspace. Plus, you can download only one file at time, and you often reach the daily limit.

It's the opposite for me. Sendspace takes minutes, while I have to let Zippy run over night. But the Sendspace download limit is a bummer, especially with large posts like this. Others have PMed me asking me not to use Zippy because they are afraid of viruses. I like MediaFire the best, but my account is full. Maybe I'll empty it out and use that again. I wish MediaFire would sell you a larger space. The only option is a month-to-month plan, which I refuse to do.

Weird how each is so variable- guess where your based is one factor? I always give up after about 15 mins when it says 26 minutes to go!

BRR 19 and BRR 20 use the same cover design. It is an uncredited image by Roger Dean that originally appeared on the 1971 Osibisa album Woyaya. Which is fitting since several members of Osibisa did most of the music on BRR 20 - Modern Africa. Their tracks are outstanding. Check them out if you haven't already.
Also, back in 2014, while working on the Discogs entry for BRR 22 - Scotland/Ireland (https://www.discogs.com/Various-Scotland-Ireland/release/4802272), I contacted Brian McNeill to see if he was the "B. McNeill" credited as writer of tracks such as "The Lost Fiddler Of Mull." He sent me this nice email:
"Brian McNeill here. Yes it was me who composed and played these tunes. At the time I was in the Battlefield Band, and the contact came through our then manager, Robin Morton of Temple Records, and that was where we did the recording. The only other thing I remember was being given absolutely no notice, and being expected to come up with tunes, so they were written while my wife drove me at pretty much breakneck speed back from Mull (hence the one title) to Temple in Midlothian. I've heard them as background on a few things, though, which is gratifying."

First, special thanks to a8detective for his huge volume of original Bruton rips & FLAC upgrades!
Back in July, I was hot to trot on some of these titles that a8detective had uploaded. But I'd arrived too late for many of those uploads and the Sendspace links had already expired.
In a pm, a8detective shared the bad news of his computer crash and that he was unable to reup anything for the time being :o
"Not to worry," I thought, "a8detective will be back soon!"
A couple of weeks after his crashed, my own computer suddenly died on me! I was devastated.
It's taken me several weeks to get back to LMT & playing catch up. When I found this thread yesterday, I was floored at how the thread had grown with even more links. About half of them were FLAC upgrades, the other half I've never heard before!
Thanks again, Detective and also Oliverino, for stepping in with so many more reups!

@Blushock I suggest you start a new post re your request for CD 77127 above in the Request section. Apart from being an old thread this one appears to be focussed on Bruton releases only. It might also help if you were to give a little more detail about the album eg the library name.

This has been confusing me for a while because I've had a copy of BRM 08 before with the same mistake. Not sure how it's happened, but I'm still on the lookout for Eye Opener 1 & Eye Opener 2 from BRM 08, which are different from those with the same names from BRJ 08.

I've checked the version on both albums I have. To confirm, Eyeopener 1 & 2 on BRM 8 and on BRJ 8 (Drama Montage Vol 2) are the same track and same in length. Not sure why you would think they are different.

I think I'm beginning to understand. I have an MP3 version of BRJ 08. Track 10 of BRM 08 is the same as track 27 of BRJ 08 though the former is entitled Eyeopener 1 and the latter Eyeopener 2. Track 11 of BRM 08 (allegedly Eyeopener 2) is a different version completely as is track 26 (supposedly Eyeopener 1) of BRJ 08. So between the four tracks there are three different versions. It was a real headscratcher for me too as I have both BRM 08 and BRJ 08 in lossless but somehow the Eye Opener tracks are the same. I do have the missing one in mp3 already, it's just been a real trial to find out the which/where/why of it!
