I'm really enjoying NRE 1043. More than the playful side A, I like the movie-esque and greatly atmospheric side B.
Zito and Nadalin are authors of some of my favorite libraries ever, like some peerless bossas.

I'd love to hear this Marco Melchiori LP as well.

I agree with 1043's side B, that changed my opinion on the whole LP from boring to enjoyeable. Didn't know the authors before!

Thank you Roope, this thread is absolutely awesome! Perhaps NRE was the largest Italian series of library music.

Thanks for the squirrely saxophone moods!
The A-side opener sounds like a bit of an odd 80's police drama or something. The near-dub-ish effects on "Estate" came as a surprise. "Byte Dance" sounds like a wonderful mix of 70's Italian electronic music à la Boneschi and more contemporary disco. Very cool, actually!
Are all three composers (Vincenzo Polito, Angelo Giordano, Vincenzo Barra) listed for all of the tracks?

And just to be a stickler here, haha - these aren't really a Fonit-Cetra series, but a 'new' ("novità"!) label that's a collaboration between Fonit Cetra (incl. Usignolo and Goldfinger) and RAI, a sort of mid-80's successor of the Fonit/Usignolo LPs which ran to c. 1983. These seem to have been running alongside the "Commenti musicali" LPs into the CD era.

Some easy listening, that I found a bit hard listen. Some very nice tracks but maybe it's the oboe that gets a bit heavy in full album length! Enjoy anyway!
