As you know, library music is mostly light music.
However, there are a few albums that contain music with vocals and they have lyrics.
My personal favorite library music with lyrics is ' NEVERTHELESS '
It comes from Japanese library music
The composer is an American living in Japan, David Chester, and the singer is unknown.
The library is so sparse that only three albums are currently available in first editions; they are
SMCD-00004 Forbidden Sound Collection Sold Out ~ Rock version
SMCD-00005 Forbidden Sound Collection Sold Out ~ Pops version
SMCD-00006~7 Forbidden Sound Collection Sold Out ~ Complete version (This album is the combined version of 00004 and 00005)
About 8 years ago, there was a website where you could listen to the library's music, but the sound quality was only 64 KBPS, and I was shocked when I heard one of the tracks, NEVERTHELESS, and it was really good, and I thought it would be a good idea to try it out.
Unfortunately, that site is now defunct, and there's no longer a site where you can listen to the library's music.
For years I've been looking for a CD of it and I'd like to hear it in WAV format.
Just the other day I found a CD of that music for sale on Amazon.
I immediately placed an order (the seller didn't provide a picture, but I thought it was what I was looking for based on the album number and title).
I think it will be shipped to me in about 3 days.
I'm sharing the 64kbps format I cached it in back in the day.
Feel free to tell me what you think of the music, or if you'd like to suggest favorite library music with lyrics!

Sorry ChunYinZi, I have to confess I much prefer instrumental tracks and try to avoid any of those with lyrics.

It's okay. Music with lyrics is only 2% of my library's music collection.
There's very little of that kind of music that I like.
I'd love to know the lyrics, but my English is terrible.
By the sound of the accent, the performer seems to be Japanese.

Well I've listened to it over and over to get the lyrics and I must admit after that many plays it's certainly growing on me! :) I like it. It reminds me very much of jazz/pop songs from the 80's. The style is similar to songs from the Philippines of that era. I managed to get most of the lyrics though a couple of lines defeated me:
No matter how you try to fight this feeling
Baby you should stop believing
What this just a ?????
Than needing so much more
You can try to change your direction
But you can’t change my affection
If you’re looking for a chance
Of a lifetime of love and romance
Nevertheless it’s love my dear
Nevertheless I’ll hold you near
Why would I just say goodbye
When all I want is here
Nevertheless I promise you
Just tell me yes and I’ll be true
In love for ever you and I
[Instrumental break]
I’ll never ? the night together
Years or more will last forever
If we let the magic go
I know we’ll say goodbye
So try and let your heart imagine
All the good things that could happen
If you’re looking for the chance
Of a lifetime love romance
Nevertheless it’s love my dear
Nevertheless I’ll hold you near
Why would I just say goodbye
When all I want is here
Nevertheless I promise you
Just tell me yes and I’ll be true
In love for ever you and I
[Instrumental break]
Nevertheless it’s love my dear
Nevertheless I’ll hold you near
Why would I say goodbye
When all I want is here
Nevertheless I promise you
Just tell me yes and I’ll be true
In love for ever you and I
In love for ever you and I

Thank you very much for the lyrics!
In fact, the haircut dates for the music are inaccurate, for example, the CD I saw on Amazon said it was released in 1990, whereas when I sampled it on that site back then, it said it was released in 1997.
I'm not sure if the CD will come with lyrics, but if it does, I'll let you know and I'll share it in the forum.
Yes, it's very good, it's from that era, and there are a couple of other tracks on the same album that I'm guessing are pretty good too
-
Also, if anyone else on this forum would like to interpret the lyrics, please leave your thoughts on them, thank you!

One of my library vocal favorites is John Stokes, "Love in the City" on KPM 1135 (1974).

Just now, one of my real-life English test-taking friends it analyzed the lyrics and here's his insight.
But let's be honest, unless the lyrics are on the CD, ours are guesses, and not necessarily true.
No matter how you try to fight this feeling,
Baby you should start believing
what is just a time that kills the need so much more.
You can try and change your direction.
But you can change by your affection.
if you're looking for the chance of a lifetime-long romance
Nevertheless, it’s love, my dear.
Nevertheless, I’ll hold you near.
Why would I just say goodbye when all I want is here?
Nevertheless, I promise you
Just tell me yes, and I'll be true
In love forever you and I
And every moment back when you and I together
is a moment last forever
If we let the magic go
I know we'll say goodbye.
So try and let your heart imagine
all the good things that could happen.
If you're looking for the chance of a lifetime-long romance.
Nevertheless, it’s love, my dear.
Nevertheless, I’ll hold you near.
Why would I keep saying goodbye when all I want is here
Nevertheless, I promise you
Just tell me yes, and I'll be true
In love forever you and I
Nevertheless, it's love my dear
Nevertheless, I’ll hold you near.
Why would I keep saying goodbye when all I want is here

In love forever you and I
In love forever you and I

My favorite has to be "Live-A-Humble" by The Jubalaires (Credited as Harry Bluestone) That was reissued by Carlin Archive Series, i own it on CD.
-
Hmm, yes. But without wanting to be too contentious and being a native English speaker I’d look more to my version than your friend’s. ;) A good attempt but I’d take issue with some lines which don’t really work in English. As you say let’s wait for your CD to arrive and hope the lyrics are there.

Oh, I love library music with vocals because they are often goofy and stupid. Restricted to lyrics I can think of:
Auvidis - AV 4161 - Open Air - The whole album is sung incoherent sentences with improperly mixed vocals. Still a good prog album.
Bent Myggen - The Line - This one has cool subdued vocals
Oswin Falquero Heart Of Stone - Such enthusiastic performance...

My CD arrived today.
Here are the lyrics as written in the booklet
Unfortunately, it only contains lyrics from 1 minute to 1 minute and 20 seconds.
I hand-typed the lyrics, and the capitalization and punctuation are perfect.
No matter how you try to fight this feeling.
Maybe you should start believing
What was just a tender kiss Could mean so much more
You can try and change your direction.
But you can't change my affection.
If you're looking for the chance
Of a lifetime-Long romance
NEVERTHELESS-it's love my dear
NEVERTHELESS-I'll hold you near.
Why would I just say goodbye
When all I want is here?
NEVERTHELESS-I promise you
Just tell me yes.
And I'll be true
In love forever
You and I

Brilliant. Well, it's a credit to the singer's clear enunciation that I got almost all of it right. Having heard it a few more times I feel that it could well be a Filipino singer rather than Japanese.

Oswin Falquero Heart Of Stone - Such enthusiastic performance...
This was covered by Australian singer Edith Bliss, who got to number 86 in the Aussie charts with it! I think they used the Bruton backing track with new vocals from Edith on the top

If scat singing counts, the first names that come to mind are Barbara Moore, The Polish Radio Orchestra etc.

Nice to know! Somehow she is even more stilted than the original singer.
-
Wow, I never knew that. Library creates a sound-a-like pop track which then is reborn as a 'new' pop track. Like pop eating itself. Library music will never stop being a source of surprise, interest and fascination to me.
Re, the thread, Prisoner Cell Block H fans often ask what the pop songs are in the show- a popular one is 'I Don't Need No Angel In Disguise'- J. Schillo from 'Follow Me (DWSLP 3369)

Lord Thames, your encyclopaedic knowledge of library music never ceases to amaze me. Bruton must have been delighted that Edith Bliss wanted to use their piece as a backing track. Though I doubt she was as chuffed to have only achieved number 86 in the Ozzie charts with it.

What are these "lyrics" you speak of? ;)
-
Bent Myggen - The Line - This one has cool subdued vocals
Dawg i've been looking for the lyrics of this one, but i can't seem to find the lyrics i need. Has anyone happen to write the lyrics for this one? Let me know. Thanks! ;D ;D ;D
-
Done it! I've finally written the lyrics for it, but not as close as the actual one. But that's was my best i could try to. So here it is:
Bent Myggen - The Line (lyrics)
(verse 1)
Throw on a shirt, you're in the mirror.
You're gonna meet the girl down at Julio.
You got a car, and you're a winner.
And this is 1960.
Go to the park, man you're going,
and you are right, and they are wrong.
And you can do. You're always going,
And then it's only '61.
Oh, and the line begins to glow,
and you're falling from the past.
Oh, and the mind begins to glow,
and you know it's gonna last.
(verse 2)
When you see you're in glass, your ears are burning.
Break out the cold if she looks at you.
You figured it out, skip the line.
You had your way in '62.
Oh, and the line begins to grow,
and you're falling from the past.
Oh, and the mind begins to glow,
and you think it's gonna last?
(voice break)
You got a million-dollar gambler,
stepping in million-dollar shoes.
Sometimes they love to hear you ramble,
sometimes they only want the news.
Oh, and the line begins to show,
and you're falling from the past.
Oh, and the mind begins to go,
and you think it's gonna die.
(music ending bed)
(The End)

Very cool, Yohanes. I isolated the vocals (https://voca.ro/17xNboLIIke6) on this part and I guess it is:
(verse 2)
You see her in class, your ears are burning.
Break out the cold if she looks at you.
You figured it out, skip the learning.
You had your way in '62.

Oh thanks for the correction, bronic! I was bad at it because i thought it was just a gibberish at first, but here is the actual English words, but sometimes it's very confusing to me. But again, thanks for the correction. I highly appreciate that. ;D ;D ;D
