The covers are impossibly shiny so it's really hard to get a decent picture!
A KPM off-shoot which is evident from the composers and some of the shared tracks.
Just 5 volumes and they are all here.... One at a time though folks.

Great. Thank you Retro. No rush.
ps something occured during the ripping process or you had this already ripped as mp3?
-
Really nice Retro! Thank you!
-
Yes, it was ripped as mp3.

Perfect. Thanks again Retro.
-
Beautiful, thanks a lot Retronic. appreciate it :)
-
I missed this one!
Thank you Retro
-
Just listening to the first track. Wow! What a fantastic album! Thanks for your terrific rip. Great sound quality. How do you clean your records so well?
-
This first one was a gift from some guy. He sold these all on a eBay and I was outbid on three of them but he sent me unedited mp3’s if them. This was one of his. Most of my LPs are in decent nick- sat in a studio somewhere for years unplayed probably.

RPM 101 - The Oscar Brandenburg Orchestra Volume II

The KPM link is clear here with a similar sound to those early 1000 Series.
'Scufflin'' is an alternate version of 'The Fast Machine' from KPM 1110 - 'Life is For Living' (thank you Lord Thames for jogging my memory on the title ;) )
'Music to Drive By' was on KPM 1063 'Contemporary Colour' (1970)

Thanks, Retro!

'The Fast Machine' is the same recording as 'Scufflin'', just sped up slightly and with the fuzz guitar solo edited out! Thanks for these!
-
Cheers LT!

Appreciate the share, thanks Retronic :)

A very appreciated series once again...Thanks Retro!
-
Been away for a few months and missed these two :'(
If anyone could possibly re-up them? it'd be much appreciated, I'm in love with #3 that BlackWatchPlaid posted ...
-
Would love to hear more of these, in lossless, if possible. Thanks!
-
Would it be possible to have some of these links renewed again?
Thanks.
-
Would love hearing those Oscar Brandenburg volumes. Seems the links have all died.

Seconded. We need hosters that have a little more longevity... Mega is nice but needs an account
-
I have a Mega account, Zippyshare is blocked in the UK now so a VPN is required but the downloads can be slow depending on if you use a free VPN or not.

Wow, now they're blocking already filehosters - what's next?

I have the other four on LP and can rip as FLACS (100, 101, 102, 104).

That would be sweet indeed! And to be commended, as this series seems to get easily overlooked and should get shared more widely.
-
That would be much appreciated.
-
I love those albums that ITV used to play for schools and colleges intervals and many of those here were, some tracks played on the BBC Testcard too.
-
The mp3 versions are good for on the phone, the flac versions are good for putting onto a CD as that extention format keeps the bandwidth frequency so it keeps the same quality as from where it is sourced.
So a huge thanks for flac here and for the others you mentioned you can kindly rip in flac which can easily be converted to mp3 if needed but not in this case as you've very kindly given us mp3.
-
Some novices think that you can rip a track to mp3 then convert to wav or flac, if a track is ripped from an LP for example as mp3 it cannot be converted to flac or wav, well it can, but it won't be a true flac as once it's been originally ripped as an mp3 then it will always be mp3 quality.

RPM 104 - European Sound Stage Orchestra Volume I (1972) - FLAC
Thank you so much for the effort!!
An interesting side note: actually, as I understand it, in British English the word "programme" ought to have been used in this case (as opposed to a computer "program"). It makes the album almost look American.

Yes!! I am genius - I have converted hundreds of albums to lossless FLAC by the press of a button. MAGIC lol
-
Good, was only really pointing out that to get true flac or wav then it needs to be done at the original rip.

Of course - I was being ironic...
-
Thank you for this.
Can't wait to hear the others in flac too. 😀

No worries, there are still many people that aren't as technical as us. 😂

Thank you for the work.
-
What a difference in sound, thanks alot Retronic.
-
Very nice, thanks again Retronic. :)
-
Lovely to hear RPM 104 - I think it was this version of 'If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind' that was used as background music in the lobby of the Crossroads Motel!

As well as ITV For Schools & Colleges.
Will these ever be available officially on CD from the master tapes?

I love it even more now that I can visualise Noele Gordon swishing across the lobby to chastise Miss Diane

RPM 101 - The Oscar Brandenburg Orchestra Volume II is a cleaner rip and sounds easy on the ear.

The last one in FLAC for a full house of five LPs. Enjoy ;) This one doesn't seem to be on Discogs.
