The final track, Space Ride, is cut short a little at the beginning. I checked. That's how it is on the record and also on a lossy download I have. For those who would like to hear how Edward White would have intended it, and at the risk of upsetting the purists amongst us, I have made a seamless edit to the track which you can find here:

To my musical ear it sounds the same ie missing the beginning of the first hit. Or am I just being overly perfectionist?
-
Must be recorded that way I guess. I have it on an LPC record too so can check that.

It's as though the recording engineer pressed the record button a fraction late! :)

Thank you nidostar.

Here's LPC 770-775, which has Spaceride on it- there is just a smidge more at the start oof the track.

Thanks Retro. That's the one with all three hits at the beginning. It is, as I suspected, an error on the pressing of CMM 214.

Dakota Country has a jump on 0.02 but thankfully it appears on the other Chappell album so no issue.
Thanks for the rip!

Thanks a lot nidostar. Very nice record, it's a pleasure to listen to.
Thank you very much for LPC 770-775, Retro.

Thank you Nidostar & Retronic for these upgrade :)

Thank you everyone! Love these Chappell CMMs, and 14 is one of my favourites. Nice upgrade to the ancient 128kbps MP3 I've been listening to for getting on for 20 years!
