Hello!
I have been trying to identify the tracks from a promo video for the Astra satellite communications brand, which used to be shown on a loop on otherwise unused European satellite TV channels between 1994-1996 (with one or two minor revisions). The video was produced by Concorde Europe Films.
The video can be viewed here:
Excepting a couple of examples of classical music like the Prokofiev and Grieg pieces, here are the tracks I've been able to identify (with the timestamps referring to the above video):
0:00 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=0s) [and throughout] - Wolfgang Käfer - Heroes [from Jingles Vol. 1, Carlin Recorded Music Library, 1989]
0:40 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=40s) - Jean Couldric - Colloque [from Mosaïque, Music 2, 1993]
1:40 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=100s) [and 11:08 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=668s)] - Alan Shearer - Stalingrad
1:49 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=109s) - Mel Dean, Jean Claude Madonne & Sammy Burdson - Moonwalking 1 [from Spirit of Enterprise, Sonoton Recorded Music Library, 1989]
2:22 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=142s) - Alan Shearer - Resignation (A) [from Revolt, Sonimage, 1993]
3:45 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=225s) - Paul Foss - Chronicle One [from Corporate Issues, Atmopshere, 1991]
5:13 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=313s) - David Rogers & Paul Shaw - Launch (Sting) [from Corporate Issues, Atmopshere, 1991]
5:26 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=326s) [and 13:39 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=819s)] - Armand Frydman - Dancing Star [from Elements, Koka Media, 1989]
7:44 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=464s) - Paul Shaw & David Rogers - Lost in Space (Full Mix) [from Space, Carlin Recorded Music Library, 1989]
9:33 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=573s) - Pierre-Jean Gidon - Spax [from Wide Space, Kosinus, 1992]

11:56 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=716s) - Alan Shearer - Editorial (A) [from Revolt, Sonimage, 1993]
12:21 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=741s) - Paul Foss - Docklands (Full) [from Corporate Issues, Atmopshere, 1991]
14:09 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-ac-72vRms&t=849s) - David Rogers & Paul Shaw - Release [from Corporate Issues, Atmopshere, 1991]
As you can I see I have managed to find information on some of these tracks, but I still have quite a few left to identify. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! :D
Cheers,
Mibri
[Edit: massive thanks to Craig-UK for helping me to complete this list of tracks!!]

Hi Mibri
I'm in a similar boat to you whereby the tunes you are missing are the ones I've not identified. I put up two videos a few years ago with the full tracks (think you may have commented on one of them).
Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9a4fBjqzLGo&lc=Ugw1q2JvgNRnuwUNFSR4AaABAg&ab_channel=1971APC
One I can help you with is a non-library track and features at 09:33. This is 'Love Theme' from Blade Runner OST by Vangelis. The others I'm still on the look out like yourself.

I shall check these out. I will download the youtube vid and clip and convert those that you're after.

Hey, yes indeed, I really enjoyed that YouTube upload of yours! ;D As for the tune at 09:33, I'm not sure that it actually is 'Love Theme' - it's in a minor key whereas 'Love Theme' is in a Major key - though it's very similar at least. The sax part might even be the same?! Maybe that reference will help me find it.
I shall check these out. I will download the youtube vid and clip and convert those that you're after.
Thank you! I've already done something like that on my side for my own quick reference as it goes - I just wish that the voiceover wasn't quite so prominent.

I can assist you with all of them except "Spax", I only have a low quality of this.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get "Dancing Star" either as this CD is discontinued. So I have uploaded the sample quality version that I have. Credit to Retromatic for the Sonimage rips.

Hey Craig, there's an unnamed file "KOS_KOS_0013_00101.mp3" in your folder.
Is it Spax by Pierre-Jean Gidon?
Any chance someone can procure the lossless album that contains it?
Thks

My God, you're a hero! Thank you very much for this, and for providing the audio too! I'm tremendously impressed. :D
As a little extra, then... I wonder if this track can be identified as well:

You're welcome.
Unfortunately, I do not recognise this one and not getting any results from the fingerprinter.

Incredible! Thank you very much! I really dig this tune a lot.

Finally ! I know of quite a few people who have been after this synth track for years. Sounds great in stereo with a great punchy bassline ! Just downloading some albums from the Blue Valley library and see if there are any other nuggets of greatness out there.
This track is a bit weird though. Seems to totally change at 3:05. I thought it was the video, but the track does this on the album also. Very weird editing. Surely can't be the original track as recorded. :-\
There is also a kind of stripped down version of this track entitled 'To Bee'.

I thought the same thing; the edits (there's another slightly sloppy and quite audible edit point near the start, I think!) sound really off considering the deftness of the composition in general. Oh well, that's up to them. ;D

Nice, I had not heard of this library before. I am just grabbing their samples so I can create a fingerprint of their library for future.
