I've been hesitant whether to post it or not since I found it.
This is quite a recent find, but I'm not 100% convinced about the authenticity of the lossless files.
Actually, just a couple of them leave me some doubt.
I'll be all ears about your technical opinion guys.

In the meantime enjoy this tremendous record. One of the best I discovered last year thanks to our fellow member N°2 who firstly shared the mp3 version.


In addition, I had to urgently save an old Mega account that would otherwise be lost, and this looked a good occasion to me.

Fantastic find Greta! I do also remember the debate about the typeface and the "r" being interpreted as a "P"

Hi Greta, all files are genuine.

How do we know? Same method as previously: by looking at the high-frequency noise in spectral analyses. It goes right up to 22 kHz (22.05 kHz, more precisely). MP3 does not encode this. Even Vorbis at 500 kbit/s doesn't capture it completely. Try it yourself (with the track "Notturnale", for example, which may seem the most doubtful), maximising the windows of spectral analyses of the FLAC and its MP3/Vorbis conversions and switching between them.

Thanks for this! I confess that I've not yet come around to listening, so I cannot say anything about actual -- meaning: sound -- quality here. It may be good, or it may be less so.

I've only considered the question whether any of these files have been produced from a lossy source. The answer is: no.

this one replaces a 256 kbps very nicely...and just as likedeeler I see it pop the 22KHz treshold quite confidently...¦-)

It may be useful to consider that the sound of a digital audio file exceeding the maximal range of MP3 (< 21 kHz) is neither necessary nor sufficient to conclude that it hasn't been subjected to lossy compression.

Not necessary: master recordings are often faded out frequency-wise at 20 to 21 kHz.

Not sufficient: lossy audio can be treated with exciters or similar devices, which results in the addition of artificially generated overtones. See this topic (https://librarymusicthemes.com/index.php?topic=1126), for example, where we had an official download with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz, provided by the label, and it turned out to be fake despite the sound going up to 24 kHz.

The presence of high-frequency noise is thus more reliable as an indicator of the (probable) absence of tampering than the general presence of high-frequency sound. Noise takes more effort to fake than just putting an MP3 file through an exciter.
