In Paris, there is a music library whose story has been told over the last fifty years by the most talented musicians in France. Brought together for its catalogue, these virtuoso musicians have written the incredible story of extraordinary times, through every genre of music. Whether composers, instrumentalists or arrangers, from classical music, jazz, rock, rhythm ‘n’ blues, pop or, later electronic music, they were all at the very forefront of trends and musical fashion, constantly exploring ever-broadening musical boundaries. All too often this story has been lost in the wider story of music. The sound design produced by the library for advertising, radio, TV and film has stood the test of time, and, in some cases, has travelled to the four corners of the world.

Pedersen, Rubio, Arvanitas, Roy, Bachelet, Dahan, Estardy: these musicians are no longer with us, but their memory lives on through the recordings they have made over the years.

Guiot, Lubat, Chatelain, Gonet, Pezin, Chatereau, Engel, Yared, Mallia: others are still around, some retired, some not, some in fact doing something completely different.

Loubet, Fagot, Pinto, Vedere, Trenet, Babin, Baer, Farrel, Hasdenteufel: they have been replaced by new faces who continue to write the story of the library.

The library feeds the media’s voracious appetite for music, which began in consumer society when an increasing number of programmes were being produced for radio and TV, and libraries were springing up in Europe, France included (Montparnasse 2000, Mondiophone, Musique pour l’Image…). Only one has stood out since then, through the quality and diversity of its catalogue, and has managed to remain resolutely independent. One alone has become legendary, to the extent that it has a foothold in every continent, supported by sub-editors and international partners.

This library is Télé Music, founded by Roger and Claudette Tokarz, almost half a century ago.

This is the entire Tele Music LP and CD series, as stored on their library site, tele-music.com.  A few are missing a track here or there.  The files came as tagged .wav files, so if there is anything askew, this is how telemusic tagged them.  Some instances were checked against discogs and corrected, some were not.

The few albums I have sampled so far sound remarkably better than the Vinyl rips floating around the trading circles.



All albums are 16bit/44kHz FLAC unless otherwise specified

     Thank you for these! I've just been getting into Tele Music so this hits the spot. I'm starting with TM 3009 - Debout/Nilovic - Music Bazaar. Do  you happen to have TM 701 to 711? I'd love to hear Janko Nilovic's Visions fantastiques.

I don't have too many from this label, but a favorite song is on one:
Primitive Spirit by Raymond Guiot & Guy Pedersen from TM 3017 Musique En Vrac.

I decided to try 3014 Countrebasses by the same two guys.
I now have a new favorite song
Bass After Love
It's a good dance tune (for my kind of dancin')

This is amazing!

The vast majority of my TM archives were bad mp3 rips there were so many gaps it was almost comical to look at.

Yes, BWP has really been a saint in helping out with great collection threads like this one. I lost many a backup from Tele music that I had on car during my two moves in the past 18 months, and this thread helped in getting everything back in digital form.

I would advise who loves disco-oriented and electronic albums to give a try to the awesome CD series. What a trip!
To TMCD 1144 Poptronic 2 or TMCD 1200 City Nights for example.
Enjoying contemporary library albums has been a real surprise to me.

Thanks again for this great batch. I notice you said the CD series isn't a big priority for you, so this request can definitely go to the bottom of the queue. But if time (ever) permits, it would be nice to have re-ups on these. The biggest priorities for me would be Holiday/Christmas. Thanks!

Can someone please re-up TM 3001 André Arpino - Batterie Percussions Tambours? Mine seems to be missing the first track on Side 2, or Track 13, if you will - "Garde-Champêtre Au Village." At least, according to the Discogs listing and artwork. Also missing from TM 3034 is "Dead Slow" by Tonio Rubio. And "Latin American Rock (Track 1) from TM 3038 is missing, as well as Tracks 13 & 16 from TM 3090, "Maxi-Music Vol. 3." FLAC or even mp3 of those whole albums or selected tacks would be a life-saver.

If someone has the vinyl versions you might get your request.  TeleMusic's online distribution service omitted some tracks from their albums probably due to copyright issues.  You often see this when a library company owns the rights to a song for a set amount of time and when it expires, they remove it from their catalog.  The offering I made here was every single sound file on their site, I just downloaded the entire lot in bulk and sorted them after the fact. 

I am going to try to reupload these sometime soon.  It is a gargantuan pile of music, and I'll probably just reupload the lot of them and replace the whole listing.

Hello,
can anyone please upload a complete rip of Guy Pedersen - Maxi-Music? The remastered tracks on the youtube playlist [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_n3LoR19IPisrXbA_g-mMotvVMrtwsyDqM] is missing some tracks, namely Purgatoire Mood (Interlude) and Purgatoire Mood 1 (the Purgatoire Mood track on that playlist is actually Purgatoir Mood 2, judging by tracks times given on discogs.com). The 'interlude' track is very short and I managed to find a good-sounding copy as a sound sample on a record shop website. However all the websites I've found that have sound samples from this album have some of the tracks misnamed, and of course incomplete. I've found a sample of the 'real' Purgatoire Mood 1 but only of the first half. The only complete copy of that track I've found online is full of digital glitches and skips...
