Does anyone have a lossless version of PIL 9006 - Sven Libaek - My Thing? Thanks!
-
I wholeheartedly second this request! And also this rare Libaek:

Sven is rare. I have only seen a few of his LPs as Lossless. Neither of those yet. We can hope!!

I have a nice ‘My Thing’. It’s from an original tape reels/ reel to reel so no vinyl surface noise.

Thanks for sharing. That's an upgrade for me! :)

Much appreciated, Retro!

Great reel to reel rip! Thanks Retro.
Btw, I remember when I first saw the Peer cover...beautiful, I thought. (as many other Peer covers, now I say)
As for Grass, a fake 320 mp3 is all I found.

Ah did you rip this dude? I got this from the usual place and wondered who had ripped it. Nice.

The usual place? Some guy was selling the reels on eBay and I asked if he'd rip me an unedited WAV of this which he kindly did. He may have shared a rip somewhere.

This rip is from John. I thought I grabbed the r2r version but can't find it now, sorry

Many thanks! If anyone still has a copy of the reel to reel rip I'd like that too of course... :)

I got you. Will sort out in the week.

No guarantee (yet), but this is most likely the one:

(Remove blanks -- not underscores -- and replace @ by the obvious.)
I don't recall where I got this from. It was stated there that this is a copy of the master tape. So, why is the tape box (see images on the first page of this thread) labelled by Southern? My (otherwise completely uninformed) guess is that someone at Southern received the copy from Peer, typed his description of the contents on Southern stationery and affixed it to the box. Does that sound realistic?
To ascertain the identity of this rip, someone could -- as time permits -- compare the spectrals of this with those of Retronic's version and let us know.

UPDATE: The rip I just uploaded is identical to Fuzi's upload, which means that his offer was a (the) reel-to-reel version already. Should have checked this right away.
-
Southern released some of the Peer releases so they are identical in content. I have a longer rip complete with bleeps at the end of the reel after the last track but I doubt o shared that. This looks like it though if it had the picture of the tape with it. It should sound pristine with no pops or crackle too.

"Pristine" would perhaps be overstating it, but Fuzi's/John's/my files feature neither crackles nor pops, as far as I can tell from a quick listen. There is considerable tape hiss, though.
Track 9 (Indian Pacific) has, in the first second, a faint "krk" sound that could also have been produced by dirt in a groove. It's been a long time since I worked with tapes, but I doubt that the rip can be from a record. The noise seems too tape-hissy to me.
I realise that I didn't express myself clearly before: the images of the tape box come from you. I edited tags and folder image before uploading, based on the assumption that your rip and this one are identical or at least come from the same data source. The rip, as I received it some time ago, had only images of the Peer record. But it was somehow accompanied by the information that it is a copy of the master tape. Which I noted in tags at that time.
Today I updated the tags, under the assumption that your (Retronic's) rip and Fuzi's/John's/mine are identical. Which is clearly not the case, since your rip has bleeps. But they could still come from the same source. Maybe the difference is merely due to an edit by someone who does not like bleeps.
Comparing spectrals is only easy if files have the same length and the same sounds in the same place. Otherwise one may get a false negative.
Track 9 offers a solution: if your rip also featured the "krk" (see above), we could conclude that Fuzi's/John's/my rip was made from your rip. Otherwise they will indeed be different and were produced completely independently.

I have the one with reel end bleeps but I suspect I edited these out when sharing or perhaps provided both. I can check and reshare tonight. In all honesty I have a decent record cleaner and could likely do a decent vinyl recording now too.

Haha! My original intention -- as, of course, Fuzi's -- was to take some effort off your shoulders.
Now it may be the contrary. Possibly a basic law of the universe.

Cheers, Retronic!
Everything -- Fuzi's/John's/my upload and the files ("MASTER WAV") of PIL 9006 you just provided -- is the same rip.
Proof: first second of track 9 ("Indian Pacific") has that little "krk" sound.
Riddle solved. Good Night!

Here's a final addition from me- a fresh recording from today- gave the record a clean so likely better than previous ones
