Title: What do you think sparked the 'underwater library' thing in the 70's?

Something had to have been in the air... Could it have been because of Jaws and the Inner Space doc?

I wouldn't say there was a particular reason other than the necessity to underline certain videos and images.
I mean, it's a part of the trend of that era. The same that happened in many other fields like space, industry, and so on.
A great library sub-genre btw. Indeed.

That's true. And I agree - one of my favorite common categories in this music for sure, along with say, 'pastoral' and a lot of those 'industry' / 'entertainment' records.
