Hello I am looking for a FLAC rip of this album. MP 026 - Moog Expressions - Pat Prilly - 1972
Every link I have found of this album has not worked at all. There's a bad rip of this album from 2005 that is not in good quality. I am not looking for that. I am looking for a better FLAC copy of the album.

The issue you are going to have is that the very nature of the original recording and vinyl representation leaves it open to what could be conceived as a bad recording. Because a lot of the tracks are just a Moog without a dense mix, any crackles, rumble, artifacts can be easily heard. There is a lot of open space, it is very dynamic and frequency-wise there is barely anything going on above around 10khz (I actually rechecked this morning when I saw your request).
The 2005 rip you talk of is the version most people have on here and to be honest, the other rips I have heard of this LP have actually been worse because the owner had tried to clean up and remaster the album, and in my humble opinion, didn't do a good job. I have not seen those two versions in circulation in years. The 2005 version is not actually that bad considering the original material.
Hopefully, somebody on here has another version, but I think you will probably just get the 2005 version and if there is another version around, don't get your hopes up too high that it will be a great recording. Hopefully I am gloriously wrong lol
Cheers

The 2005 rip was denoised to get rid of vinyl audio artifacts. Theres rips of the album on youtube that sound better and isnt as watery. Its why I came here to try to get a better copy
