Title: Bosworth Backgrounds BOCD 162: Tunes Gone By

This CD album is what first got me interested in Library Music. I came across it by chance during a lunchtime walk in Rupert Street market in Soho back in the mid-90s. Up until then I had never heard of Production Music libraries though I'd unwittingly heard a lot of their music via the TV and radio (ITN News, Grandstand etc). It was only in the early 2000’s that the internet enabled me to dig deeper into this genre.

Sadly I’ve never had the opportunity to own any of the original LPs or 78s but with the generosity of fellow forum members I am able to tap into this little known but fascinating corner of the music world. This is my modest contribution.

Thanks for sharing.  According to discogs, this was a compilation CD from 1989.  Which was the first years Bosworth released material on CD.  They'd do a number of other compilation CDs for years to come, presumably will material that was previously released on LP.

Any contribution, regardless, is always welcome.   ;)
